Tzatziki Sauce
Tzatziki Sauce
Hope you-all are having a great week. We had a great Labor Day weekend and now our child is ready for fall and is eager to decorate the house with pumpkins! It's never too soon to decorate for the fall season. Out with the heat and in with the cooler weather!
One of our favorite sauces to make is Tzatziki Sauce. It is versatile. It goes with many dishes. It can be used as a salad dressing, dipping sauce with fresh vegetables, and on your lamb gyros. This version uses Greek yogurt so you get more protein to add to your daily protein count. We do use nonfat Greek yogurt. It is not as thick and it has less calories.
Before adding your grated cucumber to the mixing bowl, drain it as best you can. Press it through a colander. Get as much liquid as you can out.
Add all the ingredients together. Mix it together. It's super easy.

Recipe
1 cup of Greek yogurt.
3/4 tsp dill
1/2 cup of grated cucumber (drained really good)
1/2 tsp olive oil
1 TBSP lemon juice
pinch of salt
Grate your cucumber and press it through a colander. Get as much water off as you can. Mix all ingredients together and keep in refrigerator.
